River City Players to Perform Romantic Comedy and Beatles Show

MIDDLEPORT – On Saturday February 15th, the cast of the River City Players will be performing a Beatles themed show and welcome the public to attend.

With a cast and crew of around 20, the River City Players will transform the Middleport Village Hall into a coffee shop setting where their comedy “Check Please” by Jonathan Rand and musical show “With a Little Help From My Friends, and a Little Chocolate” will take place. The show will feature live and recorded Beatles songs such as, Can’t Buy Me Love, All You Need is Love, Yesterday, When I’m Sixty-Four, Hey Jude, and many others. Along with the Beatles songs, the comedy will focus on the perils of blind dating in a “show within a show” style. Mary Gilmore said, “The show is appropriate for all ages and will be a good time for the whole family, especially Beatles fans.”

Tickets for the show can be bought in advance at the Fabric Shop in Pomeroy, or at the door for $10, cost of the ticket also includes the dessert bar, which will have a chocolate fountain along with other tempting treats.
