Paramedic Jennifer Cross Promoted
Paramedic Jennifer Cross was promoted to the rank of lieutenant by Robert Jacks, Director of Emergency Medical Services, during a small ceremony at the Emergency Operations Center. Lt. Cross will assist with day to day operations and the monitoring and licensing of narcotics for Meigs County EMS.
Lt. Cross joined the Division in June 1994 as a volunteer basic Emergency Medical Technician assigned to the Racine Station. She received her training from Hocking College in January of 1994. In 1998 she received her Paramedic training from Southeast Ohio EMS and started working with the Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Services and continued volunteering with Meigs EMS. In May of 2009 Lt. Cross completed the registered nurse program at the University of Rio Grande and worked as a nurse at Southwest Regional Medical Center in Georgetown, Ohio. In 2013 Lt. Cross started her career as a full-time paid paramedic with Meigs EMS.
Lt. Cross is a graduate of Southern High School and the daughter of Randy and Phyllis Cross of Racine.
