AAA Warns Hearing Loss Poses Danger to Motorists, as well as Pedestrians
OHIO – Hearing loss can be dangerous, particularly when in or near traffic. The inability to hear high-pitched tones, such as sirens from emergency response vehicles, especially among background noise like horns or railroad warnings, can put drivers, pedestrians, and anyone using roadways at risk.
To further support its Senior Driver Mobility initiative AAA will host a free hearing screening. The screening will be offered by Connect Hearing at the AAA Charleston Office. AAA members will receive a 40% discount off hearing aid prices. Screenings are free, but a reservation is required.
Screenings will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the AAA Charleston Office located at 1000 Parkway Road Charleston, WV 25309. To book your complimentary screening: Call: 304-925-6681 or Email:[email protected]. Reservation must be made by Sunday, March 9, 2014.
