State Champion Lady Eagles Make Victory Lap Around Meigs County

MEIGS COUNTY –  Meigs County welcomed the state champion Lady Eagles with a massive parade through the county.

The skies were gray and the snow began to fall, but nothing could dampen the excitement of a state championship and stellar season of the Eastern’s Lady Eagles. Residents representing all school districts set aside their own school colors to cheer on the returning champs. Green paint adorned windows and signs as the impressive caravan took the ladies on a victory lap around the county.

Signs could be seen throughout the county on businesses and residents held signs all along the way to congratulate the state champions. Local law enforcement and area fire departments came out to support the Eagles as well. Dozens and dozens of cars followed the caravan through Tuppers Plains, Middleport, Pomeroy, Syracuse, Racine and back to Eastern High School.
