Jackson Elks members visited Buckeye Hills Career Center to pick up some of the newly painted bicycle frames for Phase 2 of the “Pedal Bikes NOT Drugs” program. The Buckeye Hills Career Center Chapter of SkillsUSA American Spirit Team was on hand to help load the frames.

The first Elks bicycle workshop is slated for Saturday May 3, 2014, but students at Buckeye Hills Career Center will be setting up a trial run at the Buckeye Hills EXPO April 26-27. During the EXPO, students and Elk members will discuss bicycle safety and the importance of recycling. A bicycle obstacle course will be on hand for children and a portion of the project’s bicycles will be given away, along with helmets.
