Robert E. “Bob” Clagg, 74
Robert E. “Bob” Clagg, 74, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2014 with his family by his side at the Holzer Medical Center.
He was born May 7, 1939 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late John Clayton and Elsie M. Halley Clagg. Bob was a retired truck driver, a member of the Addison Freewill Baptist Church, an U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 4464. He enjoyed NASCAR.
Bob is survived by his wife Jessie (Meeks) Clagg, a son Eddie (Dee) Clagg of Gallipolis. His grandchildren, Jeff (Lisa) Lemley, Tonya (Jody) Bowers, Anthony (Angie) Lemley, Kyeria (Paul) Jennings, Great Grandchildren, Cheyanna and Colton Bowers, Juliann and Makensey Lemley, Layton and Braxton Lemley, Madison Jennings, three brothers Lewis (Lillian) Clagg of Gallipolis, Melvin “Jack” (Irene) Clagg of Crown City, and David (Sherry) Clagg of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Addison Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors Rick Barcus and Jamie Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at Willis Funeral Home. There will be military graveside services by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.
