image001(1)Debora Mae Thomae, 51, of Gallipolis, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 5, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.

She was born August 9, 1962 in Gallipolis, daughter of Dana and Lydia Plants Laywell, who survive her. Debbie was married to John A. Thomae for 28 years and he survives her. She was self-employed in giving home healthcare, enjoyed painting, home décor and many crafts. Debbie Loved with all her heart and touched more people than she even knew. God gained a beautiful angel.

Surviving are her husband, John A. Thomae of Gallipolis; four daughters, Lydia Nicole (Dawn Dunn) Ferguson and Amber (Micah) Levine, all of Columbus, Ashley Thomae and Cassi Thomae, both of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Dayna Alexis Drummond and Daymien Thomae; her parents, Dana and Lydia Laywell of Bidwell; three sisters, Donna (John) Greer of Aloha, Oregon, Vivian Leffel of South Vienna, Ohio, Bobbi (David) Johnson of Galloway, Ohio; six nieces, Tabitha, Lindsay, Tiffany, Cayla, Calli and Gabrielle; two nephews, Michael and Matthew; four great nieces, Elliana, Alliaundrea, Avianna and Abigayle; two great nephews, Zayne and Jordan; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Debbie was preceded in death by grandparents, David and Dorthy Laywell, and Opal and Gilbert Plants.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., May 9, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
