Southern Alumni Prepare to Gather for Annual Event

RACINE – Southern alumni will be gathering once again in Racine.

The annual Southern High School alumni banquet has been scheduled for Saturday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Alumni will be meeting in the Southern Elementary gymnasium to recollect the days gone by.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Home National Bank in Racine for $15 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door for $25 per person. The deadline to purchase advanced tickets at the reduced rate is May 20.

Additionally, the Southern High School Class of 1964 will be hosting a “Lost In The 60’s Tonight”, with Leon Jordan of the Jays playing all the favorite “oldies but goodies” on Friday, May 23 from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Racine American Legion Hall. Admission is $5 per person. There will also be a raffle of a large Longaberger basket to raise funds for the scholarship fund.
