James W. Price, 62
James W. Price, 62, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Holzer Medical Center.
He was born December 4, 1951 in Gallipolis, son of the late Cecil William Price and Darlene Roush Price, who survives him. Jim married Ellen Maley on January 22, 1983 in Cheshire, Ohio and she survives him. He graduated with the 1969 class of Kyger Creek High School. He was a U.S. Air Force Sgt. in telecommunications during the Vietnam Era. Jim was a former line mechanic at Bellisio Foods in Jackson, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid college football fan.
Jim was much loved by his surviving family who include his wife, Ellen Price of Gallipolis; his mother, Darlene Price of Cheshire; a sister, Cynthia (Mike) Bareswilt and two brothers, Bob (Brenda) Price and Timothy Price, all of Cheshire; a special great nephew, Max Prowant of Burlington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Mark Price.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Old Kyger FWB Church with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. Military services will be provided by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.
