Patrol’s Tpr. Daugherty promoted to Sergeant at the Chillicothe Post
Columbus – Tpr. Steven P. Daugherty was promoted to the rank of sergeant today by Colonel Paul A. Pride, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Academy. Sgt. Daugherty will transfer from his current assignment in the Office of Criminal Investigations, Jackson District Criminal Patrol to serve as an assistant post commander at the Chillicothe Post.
Sgt. Daugherty joined the Patrol in September 2003 as a member of the 141st Academy Class. He received his commission in March of the following year and was assigned to the Athens Post, where he earned the Criminal Patrol Award every year from 2006 through 2009 and in 2011. He was selected as Post Trooper of Year in 2007 and 2008. In 2012, he transferred to his most recent assignment at Jackson District Criminal Patrol, where he earned a Criminal Patrol Award in 2012 and 2013.
Sgt. Daugherty earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in law enforcement in 1999 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice in 2001 from Ohio University.
