William Forrest “Red” Gregory, 83

image001William Forrest “Red” Gregory, 83, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the home of his daughter Billie, in Letart, West Virginia.

He was born on October 3, 1930 in Scioto County, Ohio, son of the late Forrest Stanley and Clara Mae Neu Gregory. William was married to Elva Jean Adkins Gregory and she preceded him in death on June 8, 1995. He was retired from Ravenswood Aluminum and was a member of the McDaniel Crossroad Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, raising horses, family get-togethers, playing cards with his buddies. William served in U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by four daughters Diana (Wayne) McClaskey of Gallipolis, Billie Jean (Michael) Ralbusky of Letart, WV, Karen (Lee) Hickman of Huntington, WV, and Rebecca (Kenneth) Farley of Proctorville, two sons Forrest Stanley Gregory of Patriot and Joshua Aaron Gregory of Ironton, 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Shelby Gregory of Wheelersburg, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother Charles Gregory and a sister Maxine Bloomfield.

Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor David Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2014 form 6-8 pm.

There will be military graveside rites conducted at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in William’s memory.
