Assisted Living Week is used as a week to point out the amazing things that go on within the world of assisted living and how much they can help families. Often, families struggle to look after their aging loved one and as hard as they try, the loved one doesn’t receive the professional treatment they deserve. This is where assisted living facilities can come in and ensure that they live their golden years in peace and with the proper treatment. Click Here to find out more.

This week’s theme, The Magic of Music, highlights the healing effect music can have on individuals living with dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease, which almost 40 percent of assisted living residents have some type of dementia. National Assisted Living Week was established to demonstrate how much assisted living staff care for residents. There are plenty of ways for people to find caregivers (just check out careasone.com), but the important thing to note is that all of these caregivers are working hard and are helping as much as they can. This week provides an opportunity to recognize staff members, residents, and families throughout the country. Holzer Assisted Living – Gallipolis has activities planned for each day, centered around music, for everyone to enjoy. In respect of Assisted Living Week if you’re looking for communities for a family member to settle in to, The Hermitage of Northern Virginia has very nice assisted living facilities in Alexandria VA. So make sure to do your research before deciding on one.
