Obit CandleDorothy J. “Dot” Nibert, 89, Centenary Community, passed away at 8:39 A.M. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in the Ross Heart Hospital at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Born February 19, 1925 in Charleston, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late George and N. Margaret Saunders Ehman. She was a 1946 graduate of the Holzer School of Nursing and was a retired registered nurse at the Gallipolis Developmental Center. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Barbara Ann (Kevin) Hubler, Warren, Ohio and her son, James G. (Ann) Nibert, Columbus, Ohio, three grandchildren, Jeff (Brook) Nibert, Kari Hubler and Erika Hubler, nieces and nephews, Charles Ehman, John Ehman, Jim Ehman, Jenny Fraley, Nancy Ehman, Bill Gene Johnson, Kathy McCalla, Margie Lou Wheeler, Mike Skidmore and Donna Tipton.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary E. Johnson, brothers, Albert Ehman and James Theodore Ehman, nephews, Steve Ehman and George Ehman, sisters-in-law, Margaret Ehman and Virginia Avonelle Ehman and brother-in-law, Clarence E. “John” Johnson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2014, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Harold Benson. Interment will be in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 – 8 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dot’s memory to the American Heart Association, I.N.E. Fund at the Gallipolis Developmental Center, Ross Heart Hospital at O.S.U., Holzer Medical Center or to a charity of one’s choice.
