Dispatcher Jones Promoted
Dispatcher/EMT Jamie Jones was promoted to the rank of captain today by Robert Jacks, Director of Emergency Medical Services, during a small ceremony at the “Bob Byer Emergency Operations Center”. Captain Jones will assist with day to day operations and will oversee the 911 Center and equipment.
Captain Jones joined Meigs EMS in April 1991 as a volunteer basic Emergency Medical Technician assigned to the Racine Station. He received his training from the Meigs County EMS Training Center in May of 1991. In 1992 Captain Jones started his career as a paid EMT with Meigs EMS. In May of 1998 Captain Jones transferred to the 911 Division.
Captain Jones is also the chief of the Racine Fire Department. He lives in Racine with his wife, Heather and daughter, Raegan.
