Betty Ann Hampton Stewart-Burchett, 83
Betty Ann Hampton Stewart-Burchett, 83 of the Rio Grande Community, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 in the Arbors of Gallipolis, nursing facility. Born November 12, 1930 in Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Boyd and Anna Maude Parsons Hampton. Betty was a nurse’s aide and retired from Holzer Home Health she was also a member of the Vinton Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Roland) Jackson, of Westland Michigan, grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Jackson-Irvine, Carla (Bryan) Pasquale, Steven (Autumn) Stewart, and Christy Amburn, and Brandy Perkins, great-grandchildren, Kayla (Walter) Arthur, Brandon Pasquale, Cera Pasquale, Nathaniel Irvine, Christiaan Irvine, MaKayla Stewart, Ethan Stewart, Zan Amburn, Blaise Amburn, and Luke Amburn. Two great-great grandchildren, Aidan Arthur, and Jensen Arthur, a brother Allen (Dorothy) Hampton, of Stockbridge, MI., two sisters, Janet (Tuck) Carter and Rebecca Straight, both of Gallipolis, a step-daughter, Connie (David) Palmer of Cheshire, and a step-grandson, Chris Palmer, also survive.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Edward Stewart whom she married on March 8, 1948 and preceded her in death on June 6, 1995, and her second husband, Ollie Burchett, her sons Kevin Bruce Stewart, in 1975 and Carl “Eddie” Stewart, Jr., in 2011, great-great grandson, Michael Doyle Pasquale, great-great granddaughter, Braelynn Mercer, a brother, Boyd Hampton, Jr., and a sister Alene Howard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, Gallipolis. Rev. Calvin Minnis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Flag Springs Cemetery, near Waterloo. Michael Irvine, Nathaniel Irvine, Christiaan Irvine, Walter Arthur, Brandon Pasquale, Eric Straight will serve as casketbearers and Bryan Pasquale, and Steven Stewart will serve as honorary casketbearers. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
