Obit CandleWayne O. Jividen, 82, of Gallipolis, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

He was born September 16, 1932 in Charleston, West Virginia, son of the late M. O. and Helen Hulbert Jividen. Wayne was married to Jane Parsons Jividen on September 15, 1956 and she survives him.

He was a retired owner/operator of Jividen’s Farm Equipment and a retired boilermaker from Boilermaker Local #105. Wayne was a member of Elizabeth Chapel, attended Mercerville Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Masonic Lodge #7 and Boilermakers Union Local 105.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Jividen of Gallipolis; three children, Mark (Dreama) Jividen, Terri Jividen and Kim Jividen Rose, all of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren, Scott (Sarah) Jividen of Cincinnati, Mandi (Matt) Jividen Loveday of Gallipolis, Sarah (Travis) Jividen Keefer of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, Micha Jividen, Dustin (Ashlee) Deckard, Meghan (Jared) Denney, and Alex Rose, all of Gallipolis; 11 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mildred “Mick” Jacobs of Bidwell, Lynda (Dennis) Parsons Sykes of Columbia, Missouri, Shirley (Neil) Parsons McMahan of Gallipolis, Jearl (Jeanie) Parsons and Linda Parsons, of Ripley, West Virginia, Delmas (Ellen) Sargent of Columbus; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a brother Arnold Ray Jividen, a brother-in-law Eric Parsons and a sister-in-law Oreta Sargent.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Dean Warner and Alfred Holley officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. Masonic services will be at 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Scott Jividen, Dustin Deckard, Matt Loveday, Travis Keefer, Alex Rose, Jared Denney, Jamie Graham, and Brian Corbin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Wayne’s memory to the youth departments of either Mercerville Missionary Baptist Church, 117 Burlington Rd., Crown City, OH 45623 or Soul Harvest Church, P.O. Box 228, Mason, WV 25260.
