Charles R. Ehman, 62
Charles R. Ehman, 62, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born January 17, 1952 in Gallipolis, son of the late Albert and Virginia Bandy Ehman. Charles was retired from Teamsters Local 505 of Huntington, West Virginia. He was a member of the West Virginia National Guard from 1971 – 1977.
He enjoyed building and drag racing cars, fishing and raising chickens. After retirement, watching classic westerns and reading were things he enjoyed. He also was an avid listener of various types of music.
Surviving are his wife, Rita (Miller) Ehman, whom he married November 7, 1970; his son, Jesse Ehman (Lynn Gill); sisters Nancy Ehman and Jenny Fraley; brothers, John Ehman and Jim (Debbie) Ehman; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; his sidekick, Pepper; and several lifelong friends.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brothers, George Ehman and Steve Ehman.
Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lamphier officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5-8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Rob Phillips, Keith Smith, Mike Massey, Allen Rutherford, Scott Atha, and Keith Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Ehman, Jim Ehman, Bob McComas and Rick Schuldt.
