Meigs County Officials Report the Investigation of a Stabbing

Meigs County officials report the investigation of a stabbing that occurred in Chester Thursday morning. Sheriff Keith Wood reports his office received a 911 call this morning at 2:15 am that a possible stabbing had occured in Chester. Sheriff Wood states that officers responded and located a male subject with possible stab wounds. The Meigs County EMS transported the subject to a Life flight helicopter where he was flown to an area hospital for treatment. The Ohio Attorney General’s BCI&I was contacted to assist with the investigation and two subjects were being questioned at this time concerning the events that had occurred at the residence.

The investigation is continuing at this time, names have not been released pending the investigation along with any charges.
