imagerioRIO GRANDE, Ohio – The annual fall concert for the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College’s Symphonic Band is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 in the Berry Fine & Performing Arts Center.

The concert is free and open to the public with will include the following selections: “The Mad Major March” by Kenneth Alford; “Fanfare and Jubilation” by Roland Barrett; “Toward a Northern Star” by Gary Gilroy; “Arutiunian Trumpet Concerto” by Alexander Arutiumian featuring trumpet soloist and Rio Grande Professor Chris Kenney, Ph.D.; Walt Disney’s “Music from The Incredibles”; and an encore number “Trombone Rag” featuring the trombone section.

“The audience will really hear a variety of styles of music at this concert, from classical, film music, marches, to Dixieland,” Symphonic Band Director Gary Stewart said.
