Donald E. Trussell, age 84

Donald E. Trussell, age 84, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Meigs County, passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2014 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 27, 1930 in Long Bottom, son of the late Stanley and Sadie (McNamee) Trussell.

Donald retired from Mansfield Plumbing in 1992 and was a member of Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed camping, gardening and the great outdoors. Donald took great pride in being able to repair almost anything. His greatest passion was spending time with his family.

Donald is survived by his wife, Georgianna (Marcinko) Trussell, whom he married on November 29, 1952; daughter, Dawn (Dean) Parks of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Mary Margaret, Ryan, and Michaela; brother, Ralph (Jean) Trussell of Reedsville; and a sister-in-law, Marilynn Trussell of Reedsville.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Robert.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Rd., Mount Vernon, where the Rosary will be recited following the visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Vincent Nguyen as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
