Irene J. Harris, 81, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 in the Emergency Department at the Holzer Medical Center. Born April 30, 1933 she is the daughter of the late Frank and Janet Tucker Carpenter. She was a homemaker

Irene is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Smith, of Gallipolis, son, Ronald W. White Jr., of Gallipolis, fifteen grandchildren, two special grandchildren, Destiny Smith, Janigha Williams, a sister, Kathrine Patterson, of Springfield, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Harris, a daughter, Christina Bishop, a son Gary Allen White, a grandson, Shane Harris, and a granddaughter, Michelle Hayes.
