Gallia and Meigs Sheriff’s Offices Take Down Largest Herion Bust In Meigs County History
Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood reports The Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission’s Major Crimes Task Force of Gallia & Meigs Counties along with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office initiated a search warrant at 303 Fifth Street in Racine last month in which Task Force Agents seized 45.8 grams of Heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The search warrant goes along with a lengthy investigation by Task Force Agents into Meigs County’s largest Heroin trafficking arrest in history. The Meigs County Grand Jury returned Indictments on Jacques Daboni, age 23, of Columbus, Ohio, Chad Diddle, age 41, Amber Duffy, age 30, and Theodore Brown, age 23, all of Racine. Charges from the lengthy investigation range from Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Trafficking in Heroin & Possession of Heroin.
The local major crimes task force is a part of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office Organized Crime Investigations Commission which was formed in September 2013 which consists of the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office, Middleport Police Department, Gallia County Sheriff’s Office and the Gallipolis City Police Department along with the Meigs County and the Gallia County Prosecutor Offices.
Sheriff Wood stated that the Task Force has been very successful in combating the drug problems in Meigs and Gallia counties. Sheriff said that he will continue to fight this for a safer community.
