Mary A. Large, 95

Mary A. Large, 95, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, December 1, 2014 at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, Ohio. She was born February 13, 1919, the third of seven children to Jacob and Pearl Goodman in Piney Flats, Tennessee. She graduated from North High School, Columbus, Ohio and attended Rio Grande College. Mary is a Life Time member of Eastern Star Vinton Chapter 374 and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and she was elected 2014 Jackson County Senior Citizen Fair Queen.

She married G. W. Large January 8, 1941 to whom three children were born: William F. (Beth) Large, Brentwood, Tennessee; Peggy L. (Don) Call, Rio Grande, Ohio and Patty J. (Maurice) Toler, Bidwell, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Page (Heather) Large, Franklin, Tennessee; David (Heather) Large, Brentwood, Tennessee; Jeff (Jennifer) Call, Wilmington, North Carolina; Jerry (Yuko) Call, Cheney, Washington; Jason W. Call, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mat (Amy) Toler, Porter, Ohio and Tricia (Will) Luckeydoo, Gallipolis, Ohio; step-grandson, C. I. Large, Jr., Columbus, Ohio and eight great-grandchildren: Allie and Lacie Large; Joshua, Ryan and Lindsey Large; Megumi Call, Katherine Call and Rees Toler and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, G. W. and husband, Ray Beaver (whom she married in 1970) as well as all of her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2014 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis with Revs. Michael Lynn, Douglas Downs and Will Luckeydoo officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 1:45 PM by Vinton Chapter 374. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 12:00 Noon until the time of services.
