Ann G. Cornett, 82
Ann G. Cornett, 82, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis surrounded by her family. She was born May 17, 1932 at Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late James Edward and Ellen Genevieve McGrath. She was a member of Gallipolis Thursday Club and the St. Louis Catholic Church, Gallipolis. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing Bridge, golf and traveling.
Ann is survived by three children: John Cornett, Jr., Wheeling, West Virginia; Ellen (Bob) Metcalfe, Herndon, Virginia and Michael (Gretchen) Cornett, St. Louis, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Marty Cornett, Wadsworth, Illinois; grandchildren: Steven Cornett, Anne (Tony) Starks, Emily Metcalfe, Kate Metcalfe, Urban Cornett, Blasé Cornett, Irene Cornett and Louis Cornett; brother-in-law, Richard (Margie) Cornett, Gallipolis and sisters-in-law: Pat (Bill) Kashouty, Lindale, Texas and Rose Miller, Rochester, New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Cornett, Sr., August 2, 2009; brother, James McGrath, Jr. and sister, Mary Bizon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:00 AM Friday, April 24, 2015 in the St. Louis Catholic Church, 85 State Street, Gallipolis, Ohio with Father Thomas Hamm, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Gallipolis. Friends and family may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at which time a Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
