Charles L. “Chuck” Riedel II

Charles L. “Chuck” Riedel II, 58, Columbus, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born May 3, 1957, in Logan County, West Virginia to the late Charles Lewis and Virginia Lee Underwood Riedel.

Charles is survived by his wife Sandra Smith Riedel of Columbus whom he married August 13, 1983 in Gallia County, Ohio. To this union were born two daughters, Alicia (Robert) Rose, Obetz, Ohio and Ashley Riedel, Columbus, Ohio; step-sons, Bradley Smith, Bidwell, Ohio and Michael Smith, Bidwell, Ohio; grandchildren: Austin, Jimmy, Jayden, Teagan, Steven, Kaylee, and Aiden; brother, Michael (Mary) Riedel, Gallipolis; sister, Mary Edmonds, Groveport, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Promolia Smith, Bidwell, Ohio, nieces, Kimberly and Elizabeth and several cousins and extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jamie Edmonds, maternal grandparents, A. C. and Merle Underwood.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the McCoy Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel with Rev. Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow at Vinton Memorial Park, Vinton, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
