COLUMBUS – Pomeroy Blues and Jazz Fesitival and Snowville Creamery will be recognized at the Statehouse today.

The Appalachia Heritage Success Stories was conceived by Ohio’s Hill Country Heritage Area and Heritage Ohio as an opportunity to share the many diverse successes that highlight the past and furture of Ohio’s Appalachia Region. The event is a celebration of Appalachia’s culture, nature, and heritage.

Eleven businesses/organizations will present “3 Minute Success Stories” featuring successful entities taking place in Appalachia that create, enhance, preserve and improve the understanding of Ohio Appalachian Heritage and that improve Appalachia’s quality of life. The chosen 3-minute success stories will be shown in Ohio’s Statehouse Atrium.

Each year the Pomeroy Blues and Jazz Fesitval is held on the parking lot in Pomeroy, drawing crowds from around the region and the country for the music festival.

Snowville Creamery is a local company producing various dairy products including milk and yogurt.
