Wanda Jean “Sammie” Johnson, 57

Wanda Jean “Sammie” Johnson, 57, Thurman, Ohio passed away at her home on Friday, September 18, 2015. She was born June 21, 1958, in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late John Norris and Anna Hougland. She faithfully attended Kingdom Ministries Church, Bidwell, Ohio.

She is survived by her children: Tina Johnson and Jennifer Johnson, both of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Steven Swingle and Zach Swingle, both of Jackson, Ohio; one granddaughter, Zaira Johnson; brothers, Randy Hougland, McArthur, Ohio and Robert “Bobby” Trivette; sisters, Michelle Hougland Taylor, Thressa Hougland White and Tammy Hougland Martin.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Edinger on May 12, 2004.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Randy Patterson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. to the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio.
