Paul E. Rees, 74

Paul E. Rees, 74, of Patriot, passed away, at 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015, in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born July 22, 1941, in Gallia County he was the son of the late Homer Wendell and America Lucille Drennen Rees. He retired from the Parkersburg Iron Workers Local #787. Paul served his county in the United States Army from March 20, 1961 to March 20, 1964.

Paul is survived by his wife Geraldine “Pat” Burchett Rees, whom he married on July 8, 2010 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, his sons, Tom (Joyce) Rees, of Patriot, Terry Rees, of Gallipolis, Greg (Cathy) Rees, of Cheshire, step-daughters, Angie (Mark) Neal, Kathy Carter, Sherry Merry, and Robin Merry, six grandchildren, Xenia, Nichole, Kimberly, Justin, Jacob, and Jessica, one great-granddaughter, Chelsea. A brother, Roger Rees, of Columbus, and a sister, Shirley (Len) Silvers, ofPatriot and numerous nieces and nephews.
In

addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Rees, and a sister-in-law, Lynn Rees.

In keeping with Paul’s wishes there will be no calling hours nor funeral services. Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens Funeral Chapel, of Gallipolis. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Nebo Cemetery.
