Robert M. Underwood, 80

dleRobert M. Underwood, 80, Bidwell, Ohio passed away at his residence on Monday, October 28, 2015 following a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1935, son of the late Augustus Campbell (A.C.) and Merle Mary Underwood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Orlena Cantrell Underwood on October 27, 2014, his sister, Virginia Riedel, and four nephews.

Robert was a former coal miner, had worked at the Porter Exxon Service Station for several Years and retired from the Gallia County Local Schools. He was a Korea Veteran where he served as a paratrooper with the 187th Regiment Combat Team from the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, 82nd Division. He was a Baptist by faith.

Surviving are step-son, James Lee (Donna Marie) Porter, Lancaster, PA; three sisters: Jackie (Russell) Green of Man, WV, Betty (Paul) Hollingshead of Vinton, OH, Sharon (Doyle) Saunders of Bidwell, OH., several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
