Haunted High Promises to be a Frighteningly Good Time
POMEROY – The classroom may never look the same to those who dare to enter the upcoming “Haunted High” event.
The event will be held in the former Pomeroy High School building which is now known as Wolfe Mountain Entertainment. Through a cooperation between the Wolfe Mountain and the River City Players, they will present a haunted house to remember according to Dan Dunham, Owner and Chief Financial Officer with Wolfe Mountain and Event Manager for the event.
“From the abandoned halls of an old high school, Janitor keeps all the haunts in line, but on All Hallow’s Eve they are here to run amuck. Great people and great partnerships will create a Haunted House here in Meigs County like no one has ever seen. Storytelling at its finest. Hope to see you there,” said Dunham.
Scheduled for Oct. 23-24 and Oct. 29-31, the haunted school experience will be open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night. Each trip into the Haunted High will be $5. Those brave enough can go to the head of the class (line) for $7. Group rates for groups of 10 or more will be available as well. There is an age limit. Entrance is restricted to 10 years of age and above. Those attending should note there will be walking, climbing stairs, fog, music and strobe lights.
The younger crowd will not be forgotten, however, with a special section set aside for Wolfie and Ricky’s Halloween Happenin’ Party. There will be games, concessions, characters and merchandise for sale as well. The Halloween Happenin’ will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night of the event.
