Meigs County Sheriff’s Office seeking missing juveniles
UPDATE – The sister were found and returned home safely according to the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office around 4 p.m. on April 29, 2016.
POMEROY – The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the help of the public to locate two missing juveniles.
The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office reports that they two juveniles were last seen at their residence at 10:30 p.m.
Two girls, sisters, are missing. They were last seen walking west on State Route 681 near Whaley’s around 7:45 a.m. Friday, April 29.
Missing are Chasity Jones, 14, who is described as being 6′ 1″ tall with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top with gray running pants.
Also missing is her 9 year old sister, Sheyenne McConaha described as being 4’5″ with brown hair and eyes. She is approximately 72 lbs.
The two girls may or may not have a brown, white and black beagle mix.
A state wide BOLO has been issued and all area law enforcement agencies have been informed.
No further information on the girls is available at this time.
