obit candles CGLonnie Allen McCoy, 59, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington, as a result of injuries received in an accident.

He was born June 24, 1956 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, son of the late Leroy McCoy and Sandra Justice Garner. Lonnie married Shirley Clay on June 30, 1990 and she survives him. He was a retired equipment operator. He was a member of the Kanauga Gun Club. Lonnie enjoyed arrowhead hunting and had an extensive collection, was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley McCoy of Gallipolis; a son and grandchildren, Justin (Marlena) McCoy of Gallipolis and LJ and Izac; two daughters and grandchildren, Kelly McCoy of Pomeroy and Shauntaye and Karrington, Sherri McCoy of Gallipolis and Destinee; siblings, Ronnie McCoy and Tonia (Tom) Burnett, both of Gallipolis, Jon (Susan) McCoy of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Donnie (Amy) McCoy of Gallipolis; stepmother, Katie (Swain) McCoy of Bidwell and stepbrothers, Darren Hoffman and Greg (Leslie) Hoffman, both of Columbus, Ohio; an aunt and uncle, Donna (McCoy) and Jim Kunath of Paintsville, Kentucky; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Polly Clay of Gallipolis; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Rife Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
