Robert Lee ‘Bob’ Saunders, 64

Robert Lee ‘Bob’ Saunders, 64, of Gallipolis, died Wednesday morning, December 14, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born August 19, 1952 in Gallia County.

Bob was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, and formerly worked as a welder for the Okan Corp. He was also an avid hunter.

He is survived by: his parents, William ‘Hud’ and Opal Caldwell Saunders of Bidwell; two sons, Jacob (Sarah) Saunders of Vinton, and Jordan (Chelsea) of Gallipolis; a step daughter, Jessica (Bruce) Young of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Lilliann and Owen Saunders; and two sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Stutes of Gallipolis and Sande (Sam) Eisnaugle of Galloway.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday December 17, 2016 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor John O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, one hour prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to help with Bob’s funeral expenses.
