Icyle Paulene Herdman, 81

Icyle Paulene Herdman, 81, of Middleport, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Tuppers Plains. She was born on February 13, 1935 in Leon, WV to the late Charles and Ora ( Rollins) Stephens. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a true Christian and a member of The Rutland Freewill Baptist Church.

She is preceeded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Bubby Boyd Herdman and grandson Jeremie Boyd Cleland. Also preceeded in death by her brothers Irvin, Seth, Verner,¸Brycle (her twin), Wilber: her sisters Sara, Rachel, Nyda, Violet and Crystal .

She is survived by: her brother, Homer (Mary) Stephens, Leon West Virginia; three daughters, Connie (Mark) Davis of Middleport Ohio, Teri (Everett) Schuler of Middleport, Ohio and Sandy (Steve) Clay of Tuppers Plains, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 18 Great grand children; one great great grand son; and multiple brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Ed Barney Officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Bethel Cemetery in Leon, West Virginia. Visitation for family and friends will be held two hours prior to the service.
