$500,000 bond set for robbery suspect
POMEROY – The suspect in the Syracuse gas station robbery has been arraigned on charges of robbery and burglary.
Derek Nichols, 27, of Pomeroy appeared before acting Meigs County Court Judge Mick Barr Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 who is filling in for Judge Steve Story. Nichols has been charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery, a felony of the first degree and one count of Burglary, a felony of the second degree. Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney James Stanley asked the court for a bond of $500,000 or 10 percent down. Nichols is the suspect in the TNT Gas Station robbery in Syracuse. Judge Barr granted the bond amount. Nichols remains in custody.
