Kindergarten registration underway at Meigs

POMEROY, Ohio – Kindergarten registration is open in Meigs Local School District.

Kindergarten registration for the 2017/2018 school year is being held April 25 thru April 28, 2017 at Meigs Primary School. Registration will be held between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm with lunch time from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Those wishing to register students should contact the school office at 740-742-3000 to schedule an appointment for your child.

Any child who will be five years of age on or before August 1, 2017 is eligible to register. Parents are to bring their child with them at the time of registration. The following documents must be presented at the time of registration:
1. Birth Certificate
2. Immunization Record
3. Social Security Card
4. Proof of residence
5. Parent identification
Students will not be registered for school until all documents are submitted.

The following immunizations are required by the Ohio Immunization Law and Meigs Local School Policy for children entering kindergarten:
1. 5 doses of DPT
2. 3 doses of Polio Vaccine
3. 2 doses of MMR
4. 3 doses Hepatitis B
5. 2 doses Varicella (Chickenpox)

Due to Kindergarten Registration, there will be no kindergarten classes on Tuesday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 26 for: Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Lewis/Mrs. Tope & Ms. Taylor.

There will be no kindergarten classes on Thursday, April 27 and Friday, April 28 for Mrs. Bolin ,
Mrs. Hysell, Miss R. Williams & Mrs. S. Williams.
