Ruth Maudie Smith, 95

Ruth Maudie Smith, 95, of Middleport, Ohio passed away on May 8, 2017 at Overbrook Center. She was born on December 7, 1921 in Pomeroy daughter of the late Carl and Ella Manley.

She is survived by her children, Mary Dean of Racine; Michael (Cindy) Smith of Middleport and Angela (Frank) Herald of Pomeroy; sister, Jean Gilmore; grandchildren, Keith McCarty, Michael (Ashley) Smith Jr., Jimmy (Melia) Smith, Taya and Taylor Goodwin, Peyton and Ethan Herald, Kenneth (Kim) Smith, Brenda Davidson, Donna Warnecke, Lynn Hoffman and Dave Robbins; great grandchildren, Morgan, Mya, Logan, Makenzie and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. Smith; son, Kenny Smith; daughter, Dorothy Robbins; grandchildren, Jody McCarty and Lewis Allen McCarty; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport with Pastor Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pratts Fork Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
