Silver Bridge Bruisers to take on Appalachian Hell Betties in roller derby action
SOUTHEAST OHIO – Athens Ohio Roller Derby is announcing its first home bout at the Athens Community Center, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 5 p.m. with doors opening at 4 p.m.
The bout entitled, Betties & Brews: Homecoming, will take place during Athens City’s annual Brew Week. This is a double-header featuring the Appalachian Hell Betties vs. Ohio Roller Derby’s Green Machine of Columbus. The second bout will again feature the Appalachian Hell Betties vs. the Silver Bridge Bruisers of Gallipolis.
Admission is $10 and children under 10 are free. Tickets may be purchased via Brown Paper Tickets at http://m.bpt.me/event/2990250 or at the door. A portion of our proceeds will benefit My Sister’s Place, a local organization that helps women overcoming domestic abuse.
Local food vendors OMG Rotisserie with vegetarian will have options available. Cider from the West End Cider House and beer from Jackie O’s will be served as well.
Mobile Home will provide half time live music.
An after party will be held at Jackie O’s Taproom following the conclusion of the second bout.
