UPDATE

According to a statement from the Pomeroy Police Department, two suspects in the vandalism that took place on July 2, 2017 have been arrested. The names have not been released as of publication. As more information is available, the Meigs Independent Press will update the story.

 

ORIGINAL STORY

POMEROY, Ohio – A night of vandalism is being investigated by the Pomeroy Police Department.

Police are looking for assistance from the public in identifying individuals captured in surveillance images doing damage to local businesses. According to the Pomeroy Police, between 3-6 a.m. on July 2, 2017 several individuals damaged property at Jack’s Upholstery, the Wild Horse Café, and the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce.

A glass door at Jack’s Upholstery was smashed along with a glass table at the Wild Horse Café. A rock was thrown the a window at the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce. Anyone with information about the vandalism should contact the Pomeroy Police Department at 740-992-6411.
