POMEROY, Ohio – According to the Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney, James Stanley, Jason Pierce was sentenced to prison for drug charges.

On July 5, 2017, Pierce was sentenced in the Meigs County Court of Common Pleas to 18 months for a violation of the terms of community control. On July 13, 2016, Pierce was convicted of both Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, for which he was placed on community control with an 18 month underlying sentence, and Trafficking in Heroin, for which he was sentenced to nine months in prison.

On April 3, 2017 and July 5, 2017, Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney James K. Stanley filed motions to revoke community control based upon Pierce’s failure to comply with the terms of community control. Pierce admitted the violation. Judge I. Carson Crow revoked community control and sentenced Pierce to prison.
