Bend Area Celebrate Recovery marking five year anniversary
MASON, West Virginia – A local recovery group is celebrating 5 years of operation this month.
Bend Area Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery group offering support for any “hurt, habit or hang-up.” Celebrate Recovery is an independent ministry locally, but follows the Celebrate Recovery model started at Saddleback Church in the early 1990’s.
Local leaders came together from several area churches over five years ago to form the group. Meetings have been held at the Mulberry Community Center in Pomeroy, Northbend (Soul Harvest) Church in Mason, and are currently held at Northbend’s ‘The Center’ (old Mason elementary school). Meetings run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. every Monday night.
It is estimated that hundreds of participants have walked through the doors of Bend Area Celebrate Recovery over the past five years. According to Celebrate Recovery leaders, some participants have stuck around and lives have been changed, while others have moved on, taking with them the seeds of recovery planted in their hearts and minds.
The leadership would like to thank Northbend Church, Ash Street Church, Bethel Worship Center, and the Middleport Church of Christ for their continued support over the past five years. For more information or to help support Bend Area Celebrate Recovery, send inquiries to [email protected]

The evening will start with praise and worship music, followed by stories of life-change, and end with cake and punch.
