Meigs Grand Jury returns indictments on 27 individuals
POMEROY, Ohio – Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney James K. Stanley has released the November Grand Jury indictments.
The Meigs County Grand Jury met on November 3, 2017, and returned multiple indictments. The indictments announced include 28 indictments against 27 individuals for a total of 86 counts. The indictments include 50 counts of drug-related offenses, 4 counts of nonsupport of dependents, 3 counts of weapons-related offenses, 3 counts of prohibitions concerning companion animals (cruelty to animals), 2 counts of aggravated arson, 2 counts of aggravated menacing, 2 counts of domestic violence, 2 counts of failure to comply with order or signal of a peace officer, 2 counts of obstructing official business, 2 counts of passing bad checks, 2 counts of resisting arrest, 2 counts of tampering with evidence, and single counts of abduction, assault of a peace officer, burglary, failure to disclose personal information, falsification, felonious assault, kidnapping, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, trespass in a habitation, and vandalism.

Fransico Althouse, 39, of Albany, Ohio, was indicted for Assault of a Peace Officer, a felony of the fourth degree, Having Weapons Under Disability, a felony of the third degree, Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Falsification, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Obstructing Official Business, a felony of the fifth degree, and Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Angel Barker, 29, of Middleport, Ohio, has been indicted for Trafficking in Drugs (Buprenorphine), a felony of the fifth degree, and Possession of Drugs (Buprenorphine), a felony of the fifth degree.
Cody Counts, 25, of Athens, Ohio, was indicted for Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), a felony of the fifth degree, Possession of Drugs (Cocaine), a felony of the fifth degree, Possession of Drugs (Oxymorphone), a felony of the fifth degree, and Possession of Drugs (Heroin), a felony of the fifth degree.
Ruthie Duncan, 41, of Jackson, Ohio, has been indicted for Possession of Drugs (Methamphetamine), a felony of the fifth degree, and Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
James Ellis, 30, of Middleport, Ohio, was indicted for Trafficking in Drugs (Buprenorphine), a felony of the fifth degree, Possession of Drugs (Buprenorphine), a misdemeanor of the first degree, Trafficking in Drugs (Buprenorphine), a felony of the fifth degree, and Possession of Drugs (Buprenorphine), a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Larry Kimbro, 35, of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, has been indicted for Possession of Drugs (Heroin), a felony of the fifth degree.
William Priddy, 53, of Pomeroy, Ohio, was indicted for Trafficking in Drugs (Cocaine), a felony of the fifth degree, and Possession of Drugs (Cocaine), a felony of the fifth degree.

Patrick Johnson, 29, of Burton, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Nonsupport of Dependents, a felony of the fifth degree.
Wayne Leib, 36, of Middleport, Ohio, has been indicted for one count of Nonsupport of Dependents, a felony of the fifth degree.
These cases will proceed in the Meigs County Court of Common Pleas before Judge I. Carson Crow.
