Holzer Welcomes First Baby of 2018

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – Holzer is proud to welcome our New Year’s Baby, Waylen Lee Fowler, born at 5:45 a.m. on January 1, 2018 at 8lb. 2oz. and 21 inches long. The first baby of 2018 parents are Wesley and Alexandria Fowler. Baby Waylen was also welcomed by big brother, Colt. The Fowlers are residents of Culloden, West Virginia.

According to a statement form Holzer, the Birthing and Women’s Center at the Holzer Gallipolis location offers a nurturing environment that features private rooms before, during, and after delivery. Additionally, the hospital statement described the maternity services as being, “Holzer Maternity Services offer: Continuity – A registered nurse will be responsible for the care for the mother and infant throughout their stay; Choice – We listen carefully to your preferences; Comfort – Our clinic nurse educator meets with you early in your pregnancy to discuss your needs and review your pain management options; Consistency – A Holzer obstetrician is available on-site 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.”
