Pauline Marie Theiss Hill, 94

Pauline Marie Theiss Hill, 94, of Racine, Ohio, passed away on January 21, 2018, at her home.

She was born on January 25, 1923, in Racine, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Marie Wilcoxin Theiss.

Pauline was a member of the East Letart United Methodist Church. She was a school teacher with Southern Local Schools. She taught grades one and two at Syracuse and Letart Falls Elementary. Pauline was a 1940 graduate of Racine High School and married Clifford Hill that same year. In 1970, at the age of 47, she attended Rio Grande College and graduated in 1973 with a B.A. in elementary education. She also worked alongside her husband, Clifford, at their farm.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Max Hill, Jr., whom she raised and with whom she made her home; Crystal Turley (Ty), Aimee Hill and Justin Hill (Amanda); great grandchildren, Kasey, Cierra, Wyatt, Connor, Rylin and Jackson; great great-grandchildren, twins, Lyric and Laykin; daughter-in-law, Peggy Hill; sister-in-law, Donna Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford in 1993; son, Max Hill, Sr. in 2001; brother, Roger Theiss; and sister, Marjorie Guthrie.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Chapel in Letart Falls Cemetery in Racine, Ohio, with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating.
