Middleport Police Department Investigating Shooting
MIDDLEPORT, Ohio – The Middleport Police Department is investigating a shooting.
According to a statement released from Middleport Police Chief Bruce Swift, at 7:31pm Middleport officers responded to the Village Manor apartments in reference to a male subject with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival officers located the male who had a gunshot wound to the shoulder and learned that the shooting occurred at another location. According to the statement, the victim drove himself to the Village Manor apartments.
More details will be released Feb. 24, 2018 when they become available, according to Chief Swift. The Meigs County EMS transported the victim for treatment. Assisting on the call were the Meigs County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Pomeroy Police Department.
