Janice Young, 61

Janice Young, 61, of Pomeroy, died Monday, April 10, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.

Born May 4, 1956 in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of Mary K. Young and the late Victor C Young Jr. Janice was a 1977 graduate of Meigs High School where she was a member of the band and she attended Meigs Rio Grande for one year following graduation. She was employed at VC Young Personal Care in Pomeroy.

Janice is survived by one son Walid (Breanna) Zahran; two daughters, Liza J. Zahran and Victoria S. Zahran; seven grandchildren, Brandi, Alexis, Chloe, Kinsley, Rilynn, Isaiah, and Josiah; two brothers Victor C. (Kathy) Young III and Brad Young; one sister Vickie K. Klaiber.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Walid Zahran and one sister Diana S. Brewer.

Funeral services will be at noon on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery in Pomeroy. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at Ewing- Schwarzel Funeral Home. There will be a potluck dinner following the funeral service at the Ewing-Schwarzel Family Center on Second Street in Pomeroy. All are encouraged to attend and enjoy fellowship.
