POMEROY, Ohio – The Meigs County National Day of Prayer event will be May 3, 2018 on the courthouse steps.

There will be a Prayer Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Trinity Church in Pomeroy prior to the prayer program at the courthouse. Organizers say that everyone is welcome to attend.

At 11:30 a.m. the program will begin on the courthouse steps. During the event residents will “pray for our government, state and local officials and other needs in our country and community,” according to organizers. The focus for this year’s National Day of Prayer is Ephesians 4:3, “Making every effort to keep unity of spirit through the bond of peace.”

Signs have been posted on the walking paths in Pomeroy, Middleport and Racine. They have topics of prayer focus on them so people can walk and pray on the paths. The signs went up April 29 and will remain through May 3.

From April 30 to May 2, 2018 there has been Bible reading on the Parking Lot from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
