POMEROY, Ohio – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is preparing for work to begin on the Pomeroy parking lot and embankment along the walking path.

Prior to the work beginning there will be a public meeting on Sept. 6, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the Farmers Bank Community Room in Pomeroy. The meeting is for those who have an interest in, or are concerned about the potential historic resource impacts associated with the Pomeroy streambank protection project, including the parking lot wall and the old railroad retaining wall. In order to assess mitigation strategies for effects to historic resources, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Huntington District, is holding the public meeting to provide project information and gather public comments and concerns.

The meeting will consist of a brief presentation with an informal comment and question period following the presentation and is open to the public.
