Browning selected Gallipolis Post OSP Officer of the Year
GALLIPOLIS, Ohio – Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary Officer Mark J. Browning has been selected as the Auxiliary Officer of the Year for the Gallipolis Post. The Gallipolis Post also serves Meigs County.
The selection of Auxiliary Officer Browning, 36, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2018. Auxiliary Officer Browning was chosen based on his total service hours and other exceptional performance.
Auxiliary Officer Browning joined the Highway Patrol Auxiliary in 2009 and has served at the Gallipolis Post. Originally from Columbus, and a graduate of Buckeye Hills Career Center, Auxiliary Officer Browning is employed full-time with Marathon Petroleum.
Auxiliary Officer Browning resides in Bidwell.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary is an all-volunteer force that provides assistance to troopers in the course of their duties. Crash scene and traffic stop assistance, traffic control, disaster relief and special detail support are among the duties of an Auxiliary officer.
