Meigs Memorial Run returns for 34th year
POMEROY, Ohio – For 34 years the annual Meigs County Memorial Day Run has been bringing riders along the river.
This year Southeast Ohio’s largest motorcycle run is a three day event from May 24-26. The event kicks off along the Ohio River on Main Street in Pomeroy. All events on the Parking lot are at no cost.
Friday, May 24
There will be a bike blessing at 5 p.m. along with t-shirt sales opening at 5 p.m. Additionally, there will be vendors, and Chris Deemer will DJ. Northbend Church will perform live music from 7-9 p.m.
Saturday, May 25
From 10 a.m. to noon there will be $1,000 Poker Run sign ups at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Pomeroy, with the cost being $10 per person. Bikes out at noon. First place takes $1,000 while second to receive $100.
In addition to the Poker Run, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kip Grueser will DJ. From 6-10 p.m. Next Level will preform live music. Inflatables will be available for the kids from 4-8 p.m.
Sunday, May 26
The Memorial Run Parade leaves the Pomeroy Levee at 1 p.m. There are no sign up or entry fees to participate.
There will be a $1,000 raffle drawing at 5 p.m. with tickets priced at $10 per ticket. The drawing will be at 5 p.m. The winner does not need to be present to win.
From 12-5 p.m. DJ Kip will have music along with the Bike Stunt Show from 3-4 p.m.
About the Meigs Memorial Run
The proceeds from the Meigs Memorial Run go to the annual Christmas shopping underprivileged kids/teens in Meigs County.
Items for sale at the Memorial Run booth include a Memorial Run t-shirt, patch, poker chip, bike flag, 2019 Memorial Run button, and/or get your tickets for the $1,000 cash raffle to help those in need have a brighter Christmas.
